find your ring size

Your fingers tend to change size throughout the day — the best time to measure your finger is at the end of the day. Also, our dominant hands are generally slightly larger — make sure you measure the right finger on the correct hand!

hands-on method

  1. Grab a tape measure, inelastic string (dental floss works great) or strip of paper.

  2. Wrap it around the finger you’ll wear your ring on—if you’re creating a ring stack, consider where on your finger the ring will sit—and mark the place where it joins. If the knuckle is bigger than the base of the finger, measure both places and pick a size in between the two.

  3. Lay your string or paper strip on a flat surface and use a ruler to measure the demarcated length in millimeters (mm). Use the chart below to match the inner circumference measurement to the closest ring size.

  4. Repeat measure 2-3 times for more accuracy.

measure an existing ring

  1. Choose a ring that already fits your finger well.

  2. Measure the interior diameter of the ring in millimeters (mm).

  3. Use the measurement chart below to match the size of the ring to the closest inside diameter size in mm.
